Who Needs Private Duty Home Care Services?

Because of the limitations associated with Medicare home care visits, often times, individuals who are in need of additional care provisions must rely on family members and/or other care givers for supplemental care and support. In some cases, when family support is not available, the only option is to consider an outside care giver.

There are as many reasons for needing care as there are services available. Some of which include, but are not limited to;

  • sustained injuries from a catastrophic accident
  • recovery from a surgical procedure
  • assistance with day to day activities when physically or mentally impaired
  • onset of dementia or Alzheimer’s
  • loss of function due to a degenerative disease
  • non-specific special needs situations
  • brain or spinal cord injury
  • rehabilitation or post-hospitalization care after heart attack, stroke or other condition
  • chronic health conditions
  • obesity management, etc.
